Hi, it's nice to meet you!
I'm Rachel.
I earned both my Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and my bachelor's degree from Malone University. I am currently a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisor Designation (LPCC-S) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in the state of Ohio.
Before opening my private practice, I worked at a nonprofit community behavioral health agency from 2020-2025. During that time, I provided counseling across a variety of settings including residential substance use treatment for men and women, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient mental health services. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults facing a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns.
After the birth of my first child, I made the decision to start my own telehealth practice. This transition has allowed me to continue providing high-quality, compassionate care while maintaining a sustainable work-life balance. I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely seen, supported, and challenged in a positive way, and I strive to bring that approach to every counseling relationship.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy hiking, camping, running marathons, thrift shopping, and home renovation projects. Most of all, I value spending time with my husband, our son, our church community, and other family and friends who enrich our lives.

Treatment Modalities

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
This method helps you identify negative thoughts and beliefs to replace them with more helpful patterns. When you change your thinking, healthy emotions and behaviors often follow.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
We engage in supportive conversations to help you find your own inner spark for growth. This process helps you work through mixed feelings so you can take the next steps forward with confidence.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
This strategy focuses on your future goals by discovering the practical tools and personal successes you already have. Shifting the focus helps you move from feeling stuck in problems to finding clear solutions.
Strengths-Based Counseling
We focus on your natural talents and inner resilience to help you navigate life's hurdles. By using what you’re already good at, we can build a clear path toward the future you desire.
